"Great little bag with lots of pockets and compartments. I recently fit my Macbook, a large math textbook, and a notebook with no problem, though it wouldn’t fit a whole lot more than that. It easily fits my Macbook Pro (model 14-inch, Nov 2023), which I mention as an fyi since other reviews complained about the tapering not letting a computer fit easily. The look is compact and stylish but casual."
"I bought this bag for a trip and am so in love with it. Feels like a friend keeping all my myriad stuffs organized! It feels high quality and I'm excited to use it for years to come. And I had asked on one of Topo's social media posts about what color the interior was, as there were no pictures of it in black, and didn't get an answer but I'm glad to say it is a neon yellow/green, which makes finding stuff a breeze! This is my first Topo purchase, but hopefully not my last."
"The slight taper at the bottom of the laptop sleeve is the reason nobody can agree on whether this bag will fit a 13" or a 14" laptop. The laptop shown is a Lenovo T14 gen 4. It's a relatively slim 14" laptop, but it's not Apple level slim. Recent 14" Macbook Pros (M4, M5) do manage to (barely) fit. Older 13" Macbook Pros will also fit (again, just barely). Every single 14" laptop that gets through the top but doesn't quite get past the zipper is running into the slight taper at the bottom of the bag. Topo, WHY? There's no reason to have a taper here -- every laptop is a rectangle. Other than this dealbreaker of a flaw, the bag is nearly perfect. Topo, please fix this. Square off the bottom."
"I love this bag, it is super spacious and organized. Protects your laptop really well!"
"I recently took the bag on an overnight trip to Washington DC. The bag fits nicely under the seat in front of me and yet doesn’t take up all the room so I still have room for my feet. But back to the bag itself, it held exactly what I need. The laptop compartment was fine. The trolley passed through worked well with my rolling bag. There were adequate pockets, but not so many that you couldn’t remember where you put stuff. I especially like the bright yellow interior lining so you could find the things you put in the one thing I didn’t care for is the large contrast and color zipper poles I think it makes the bag look tacky or something anyway, I can easily replace those with smaller black pools and I think that will improve the look at least in my opinion."
"Does everything I expected. Love all the extra zippered pockets. Holds everything I need as a custom home Project Manager."
"I’m a retired teacher and occasionally sub. I used to carry a big ol’ backpack but I would overload it and it was heavy! I wanted something small, stylish but able to carry what I needed to sub and the Mountain Cross Bag fit the bill. I just love it!"
"I use this bag every day- I carry my laptop and all my daily essentials in this bag without issue. Not just for work but also for travel & for personal use."
"I have had multiple bags, sling, messenger, backpacks from inexpensive brands all the way to more expensive. My previous bag was a Tumi bag, which I thought it was excellent. Two years later I bought a Topo Design backpack for my son for college. Once it arrived I realize how nice and well made the bag was. The colors, the design, it was overall great. Fast forward a year or two and I see Topo Design announcing the return of the Mountain Cross Bag and just from the pictures alone, I fell in love. The only problem was, how do I justify to myself the purchase of a brand new bag when I have a perfectly good expensive backpack. Well, it took me about two weeks to convince myself and I don’t regret it one bit. I love the different pockets and areas and I was impressed with how much you could fit into that bag if you wanted to. It is comfortable, you can easily tell how well made it is and well, the design is superb. If you are like me and are thinking about it. Do yourself a favor, just go and buy it, you won’t regret it."
"I love this bag so much. I drive buses for Disney and I can fit all my essentials and person items inside with room to spare. I carry it over my shoulder and it's very comfortable."
